There are lots of videos out there showing how would be home inventors wired their solar panels together and got them to work without burning the house down. And some that probably did burn the house down.
So we thought we would find a course on solar cell wiring from a reputable education institution, like say MIT.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT as it is known, is one of the foremost technical and engineering schools in the world. We found an online lecture from an MIT course that was run a few years ago that shows a hands on approach to wiring solar cells and testing the finished projects.
Students learn how they should be wired, how they should not be wired and see the actual results of their work for themselves. The best way to participate in a lecture like this is to buy yourself a couple of solar cells online and some of the special connecting wire to go along with them.
Using this you can start from the beginning and start to wire your panels. Then armed with your completed solar cell array you can head outdoors and test your work?
This is true learning in action! You should now know how to wire solar cells into a panel configuration.
You would be surprised how few people there are in this world that know what you now know!
