MIT Students Present Solar Electricity Projects

Solar Electricity Projects From Students At The Massachusetts Institute of Technology ( MIT ) Solar Energy Education.

MIT is arguably one of the best engineering schools in the US, if not the world. Graduates of MIT are able find jobs in a multitude of industries and many go on to create their own companies. A solar energy education from MIT is a very valuable thing to have for anyone interested in clean energy careers.

The mission statement for MIT reads as follows:

The mission of MIT is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.

For most people, attending MIT is a dream that they will never realize. The cost of tuition and the high requirements for admission make this university in the category of elite, ( but in a good way). Lucky for us, the university digitally records many of their lectures for public distribution.

2018 Version is on for LESS THAN $20!

Before or after you take this free course you should consider purchasing the Solar Electricity Handbook 2018 version completely updated with the latest technology and procedures.

The handbook gives you access to web based tools such as solar calculators and lookup tables that solar project managers or home solar enthusiasts will appreciate.

This is one book that needs to be on every solar energy advocate’s desk or coffee table.          Click the Pic!

Do not pay too much for this as there are re-sellers trying to get rich. Amazon has it at very low price for hard cover or soft cover.

MIT students present their solar electricity projects using PV modules and hardware.

In this course, delivered in the fall of 2011 entitled MIT 2.627 Fundamentals of Photovoltaics, Fall 2011 you will see the results from students projects in solar energy.

In these 2 videos, students present projects on photovoltaic lights for Lighting Africa, nextgen modules, nextgen simulation, smart retrofitting and photovoltaics grids.

This is an excellent opportunity for readers that are interested in a career in solar electricity technology. Here you can learn for free from an MIT professor and the students in the class oMIT 2.627.
